PRACTICE QUESTIONS OF RATIO AND PROPORTION – 2

1.) Find the compounded ratio of (3 : 5) & (2 : 7).
(Ans 6 : 35)

2.) 94 is divided into two parts in such a way that the fifth part of the first and eighth part of the second are in the ratio of 3 : 4. Find the first part?
(Ans 30)

3.) Two containers A & B contain milk-water in the ratio of 2 : 3 and 3 : 7 respectively. If these mixtures are mixed in equal quantities then find the ratio of milk and water in the new mixture.
(Ans 7 : 13)

4.) Two containers A & B contain milk-water in the ratio of 3 : 4 and 5 : 9 respectively. If these mixtures are mixed in the ratio of 2 : 1 then find the ratio of milk and water in the new mixture.
